MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The following are the requirement for admission into National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Lafia.

. Accountancy
National Diploma (ND):
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and any three other subjects from: Economics, Business Methods, Financial Accounting, Statistics, Geography, Government, Agricultural Science/Biology (at not more than two sittings).Higher National Diploma (HND):
Requirements for ND in Accountancy plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in ND Accountancy/Financial Studies, and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
2. Architectural Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in Mathematics, English, Physics/Chemistry, and any three subjects from Geography, Government, Agricultural Science/Biology, Technical Drawing, or Fine Art.HND:
Requirements for ND in Architectural Technology plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in ND Architectural Technology, and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
3. Business Administration and Management
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB including English Language and Mathematics. Other acceptable subjects include Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Geography, Government, and Agricultural Science/Biology.HND:
Requirements for ND in Business Administration and Management plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in ND Business Administration/Marketing, and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
4. Civil Engineering Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two of: Geography, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Technical Drawing, Metalwork, or Woodwork.
5. Computer Engineering
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one other subject from: Metalwork, Woodwork, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Geography, or Biology/Agricultural Science.
6. Computer Science
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two of: Economics, Geography, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, or Computer Science.HND (Software & Web Design / Networking & Cloud Computing):
Requirements for ND in Computer Science plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in ND Computer Science, and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
7. Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from: Geography, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, or Basic Electricity.HND (Electronic & Telecommunication):
Requirements for ND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
8. Environmental Science and Management Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Chemistry. Alternatively, Geography, Economics, and Government may be considered.
9. Estate Management and Valuation
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, a basic science subject, and other subjects chosen from: Economics, Geography, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Art, Woodwork, Literature, Metalwork, Accounting, and Basic Surveying.HND:
Requirements for ND in Estate Management and Valuation plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
10. Geological Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and any two from: Physics, Economics, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science, or Technical Drawing.
11. Hospitality Management
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science, and two subjects from: Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Economics, Food & Nutrition, Home Economics, or Geography.
12. Library and Information Science
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and any three from: Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Geography, Government, Agricultural Science/Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.HND:
Requirements for ND in Library and Information Science plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
13. Local Government Studies
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and any three from: Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Geography, Government, or Agricultural Science/Biology.
14. Tourism Management Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB including English Language and Mathematics (compulsory), plus:-
Any two from Geography, Economics/Commerce, History, Marketing, Civic Education, Government, Accounting, or Tourism Studies.

Any one from Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Food and Nutrition.
HND:
Requirements for ND in Leisure and Tourism Management plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
15. Mass Communication
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB including:-
Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English.

Optional: Government, Civic Education, Islamic Religious Studies/Christian Religious Studies, Economics, Commerce, or Marketing.
HND (Strategic Communication & Mass Media Studies):
Requirements for ND in Mass Communication plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
16. Mathematics/Statistics
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Economics, Government, or Fine Arts.
17. Mechanical Engineering Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from: Geography, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Computer Science, or Technical Drawing.HND (Manufacturing / Plant):
Requirements for ND in Mechanical Engineering Technology plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
18. Mechatronic Engineering Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from: Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science, or Computer Science.19. Office Technology and Management
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and three subjects from: Economics, Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Government, Shorthand, Typewriting, Religious Studies, or Fine Arts.20. Public Administration
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and any three from: Government, Economics/Commerce, Business Studies, Accounting, Geography, Civic Education, or History.HND:
Requirements for ND in Public Administration plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
21. Science Laboratory Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and Physics.HND (Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry):
Requirements for ND in Science Laboratory Technology plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
22. Social Development
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and any three from: Government, Civic Education, History, Economics/Commerce, Religious Studies, Literature in English, Biology, or Agricultural Science.
23. Urban and Regional Planning
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, and any three from: Geography, Economics, Government, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, or Fine Arts.HND:
Requirements for ND in Urban and Regional Planning plus a minimum of Lower Credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above), and at least one year of post-ND cognate work experience.Note: In exceptional cases, ND graduates with Pass (CGPA 2.00–2.49) who have two or more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
24. Water Resources Engineering Technology
ND:
Five credit level passes from SSCE/GCE/NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Geography, or Further Mathematics.25. Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology
ND:
